DesignaKnit communique avec votre machine à tricoter par l'intermédiaire d'un câble entre votre ordinateur et la machine.Soft Byte a également conçu, lors du développement de DesignaKnit, un ensemble de câbles pour relier votre ordinateur à votre machine. Ces câbles utilisent un port série de votre ordinateur.
En 2003 nous avons develope le SilverLink 4 pour resoudre les problemes de mauvais dessins cause par le fait que Windows ne peut pas travailler en temps reel. Le SilverLink 4 peut se connecter soit à un port série, soit à un port USB.
